University of Minnesota Law School Program Director Edward Adams
An internationally recognized accounting, corporate finance, and corporate law expert based in Minneapolis, Edward Adams joined the University of Minnesota Law School in 1992. In his position as the director of professional development programs and the director of online technology and education, he has created programming to benefit disadvantaged high school students and raised the single largest annual gift, valued at more than $25 million. Edward Adams has also taught numerous courses at the University of Minnesota, including Bankruptcy, Bankruptcy Theory, Banking Law, MBA Concepts for Lawyers, and Law and Entrepreneurship, among others.
Edward Adams has been published extensively throughout his career. In addition to annually revising the Bankruptcy Practice Manual (West) for nearly a decade, his books include Federal Securities Laws, Proxy Rules Handbook, Selected Corporate Statutes (West) and The Investment Company Act of 1940, to name only a few.
Edward Adams graduated cum laude from the University of Chicago Law School. He is the founder of the University of Chicago Native American Alumni Affinity Group. He graduated among the top 1 percent of his class at the Carlson School of Business, earning a master of business administration. He studied economics and business administration as well as philosophy as an undergraduate at Knox College, graduating magna cum laude.
